Shenderev Georgi (1937 - 1984)
Shenderev was a composer and bayanist, born in Navoi Uzbekh on July 18, 1937.
In 1958 he graduated from the Music Player School in Simferopol, where he studied bayan, conducting and instrumentation. From 1958 he studied at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow, where he graduated in 1962. There he studied bayan and composition. While studying he also acted as soloist and accompanist in the Yalta Philharmonic of Crimea. Once graduated, in 1962, he started teaching bayan and instrumentation in Dnepopetrovsk and from 1966 till 1968, he was a teacher in Kaluga. From 1969 on, he worked in the Crimea. There he died on the 5th of August 1984 in Sun Valley (Crimea) Shenderev wrote in an authentic national style and had a unique feeling for folk music. Source: Handbook Accordeonist, author A. P.
