Flecijn Eddy

At the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, Belgium, Eddy Flecijn won first prizes for accordeon, harmony theory, counterpoint and fuga. At the class of Luc van Hove and Willem Kerstens he studied composition.

In 1998 Flecijn earned his master's degree option composition at the Lemmensinstitute in Leuven, Belgium.

Nowadays Eddy Flecijn is teacher at the Academie for Word and Dance in Hamme, Dendermonde and Sint-Niklaas. He is also teacher at the Lemmensinstitute in Leuven.

As a composer Flecijn won several national and international prizes, such as the Prize of Castelfidardo, the Prize of Belgian Artistic Promotion Sabam, the prize A. De Vleeshouwer. His work is highly appreciated in several countries and has been performed by Russian virtuosos.

Eddy Flecijn himself is active in various ensembles, among them The Eddy Flecijn Combo and the trio Vision On.
