Podgorny Volodymyr Yakovlevich ( 1928 - 2010 )

Volodymyr, or Vladimir, Podgorny was born October 4th 1928 in Russia, Verkhnyaya Bogdanovka, Ukraine.

In 1949 he graduated from the Kharkov Music School (Ukraine) for accordeon and composition. In 1956 he graduated from the Kharkov Conservatory under Borisov.

Since 1956 Podgorny was teacher at the Kharkov Institute of Arts.

After years of illness, Podgorny died on May 31st 2010 in Ukraine, ? Kharkov. During life he had been a great composer, a great performer, a great teacher and a man with a huge passion for music
